SIA NSW- Young Safety Professionals Networking Event: The Different Schools of Safety Thinking – Developing Your Own Critical Perspective

YSP Sydney is looking forward to hosting our next catch up on Wednesday 25 October 2017.

Within this session we will delve into the different schools of safety thought that have shaped the safety profession across different industries with a highly interactive format. The session will explore how important it is to understand and immerse ourselves in different perspectives in order to develop our own thinking.

Registration: You must confirm your attendance via the SIA website as your details are required to be on the visitors register for entry into the venue. No registration, no entry!

Your Speakers

We have secured two special guests whom will assist with facilitation activities on the night

Marc McLaren – Chief Enabler, Art of Work

Marc is an engaging presenter, executive leader, and WHS professional with over 25 years of business and field management experience. Marc was the former Head of People, Safety and Wellbeing for Serco across Asia Pacific, amongst his other senior postings. Marc’s initial study covered psychology, sociology and political science at the University of Sydney, graduating with a Bachelor of Social Studies. Marc has continued learning and has been awarded a Master of Occupational Health and Safety with distinction from the University of Newcastle. He is currently researching organisational safety decision-making and performance at UTS in Sydney.
